I knew long before Jude was born that I really wanted to do his newborn pictures outdoors. I also knew that outdoor newborn pictures can be difficult sometimes depending on the time of year the baby is born and what kind of mood the baby is in the day of the session. I decided to have my best friend/photograpgher Kim (if you missed Jude's Birth Photos that she took, you can see them here.) help me take Jude's individual newborn pictures inside her house, and to hire someone to take our family pictures with Jude outside.
I met Lindsey Martin (owner of Lindsey Martin Photography) through a photography mentoring group that I am a part of. Her style was similar to mine and I fell in love with her work. I talked with her for months about our session, probably driving her crazy with all my stress and indecision about the session, but she dealt with me quite patiently.
I spent a lot of time thinking about the type of location I wanted it to be at, what poses I wanted, and our outfits. I have always thought the location we shot at was so pretty and when my business was open, I even shot a few sessions there myself. I always wanted pictures of my own family there. It's not easy taking pictures of a family with little kids...especially three little kids and one being a newborn. Ruy is great about pictures. He has dealt with a lot of my camera being in his face :) But Liam is so hyper it can be challenging, Alanna is so shy around strangers, and Jude was only 2 weeks old so I wasn't sure how it would go. Lindsey did an awesome job though dealing with all my littles and captured some of the most beautiful pictures ever! I am so happy with how each of these pictures turned out and I can't wait to have them hung on my walls!
My gallery had so many awesome pictures that it was hard to narrow it down to just a few to post on here so there are a lot that I am sharing. They are just too beautiful not to share!
Thank you Lindsey for these beautiful memories!!!
