10 Months {August 11, 2016}
In just a few short weeks we will celebrate Jude's first birthday. I can't seem to wrap my brain around it though. This year has been the fastest year of my life. And to think I have to start planning his first birthday...it's almost overwhelming. I feel like it's all going so fast. Maybe it's because I've thought about Jude possibly being my last baby. But then I sit down and really think about what that would mean and I'm not sure I am ready to be done. I'm only 28 so I feel like making that decision now is just too soon. So for now, I am just going to enjoy each day and each moment with Jude and soak up all his sweet snuggles and kisses and not worry about it. I think God will let us know when and if it's the right time again.
The past two months Jude has just continued to grow and be the sweetest little boy on earth. His hair is so blonde and the little curls he has stick out around his ears and it's just the cutest! He still makes his little "birdie" face as well call it. He makes the sweetest little face with his lips all pushed together and it just melts my heart. He's done it since he was born and I hope he doesn't stop doing it any time soon.
He can stand for a few seconds on his own but he doesn't try to walk yet really. He's tried to lift his foot and take a step but he just falls down so he's not quite there yet. Very soon though...very soon and he'll be walking. He says "da-da" but nothing else. I don't think he knows Nathan is dada yet though. I think it's still just babble.
He's so snuggly and loves to nurse and rub his blankie. He doesn't usually ever nurse to sleep. He likes to nurse and then just be laid in his crib where he plays with his blankie until he falls asleep. He's basically the most chill baby ever. Yes, we've had some rough nights/days with sickness and/or teething but for the most part, he's been an incredible sleeper and he's so easy going.
He loves to eat...fruit, chicken, muffins, pancakes, sweet potatoes....he's not picky that's for sure. Recently he's been acting a little different with food but I think it's just because he's been cutting teeth.
His favorite toys other than his giraffe are anything but baby toys. He loves all of Ruy, Liam, and Alanna's toys. He crawls so fast! He can get from one end of our little house to the other end in just a few seconds so it's best if I leave the gate in the hallway closed or close all the bedroom doors so he can't destroy everything :)
Jude is so fun and just the sweetest little boy ever. I'm crazy in love with him.
