It was a rainy Sunday morning. You woke up later than you usually do. It was around 8AM before you woke up. I went into your room singing Happy Birthday. When I got done singing, you said "Can I blow out my candles now?" It was so sweet. I told you that you had to wait until later that day for your party. You jumped into my arms and wrapped yourself around me. You were so warm and cuddly in your 'jammies'. After you got up, Daddy and I took you down the hallway where you saw all the balloons we had blown up for you. You wanted blue and green balloons. There were ten balloons sitting in the dining room. You were so excited. You said "oh my balloon!"
We went to church, you played, had lunch, then took a nap. After your nap, Grammy, Pappy, Granddad, Aunt Ruthie, Uncle Mike, Aunt Tracey, Kim, Chloe, Lily, and Ruby came to celebrate your birthday. You were very happy to see Ruby when you woke up. You love playing with Ruby. Actually...you don't know it yet, but Kim and I are secretly planning your wedding with her! :)
You were so excited when Daddy lit the candles and we all started singing "Happy Birthday" to you. I don't think I've ever seen you smile so big. You sang along with everyone else, then blew out all three of your candles by yourself on the first try. Then you threw your hands in the air and said "YAY!" You really have the whole birthday thing figured out now!
You opened your present from Ruy first. Ruy got you the dog you had found at Ikea a few weeks ago that you really wanted! I had to hide it in a bag at Ikea while we were shopping. You found it in the bag though and got really excited about it. I had to take it from you and hid it again. So when you pulled it out of the bag on your birthday...your reaction was priceless!!! I've never ever seen you so happy about a present before. You hugged it so tight and said "oh my dog!" Ruy was so happy that you loved his present so much.
You got a lot of really great presents. A tool set from Grammy and Pappy. A bowling ball set from Aunt Tracey. A fishing game and a motorcycle from Kim. A Dusty the Plane Lego set from Aunt Ruth and Uncle Mike. Books, a cow, a Melissa & Doug Clock, and animal magnets from Mommy and Daddy. A mailbox from Granddad. You loved everything. You were so sweet and so thankful for everything. It was a wonderful party for a wonderful little boy.
I love you baby. I'm so happy you loved your party!!!
