APPLE PICKING

Thursday last week, we went to the Apple Orchard.  Apple picking is one of my favorite fall activities & probably one of my favorite activities of the entire year.  It's so much fun.  I love how excited the kids get to pick their very own apples off the trees.  I love being up in the mountains, the fresh air, the apple donuts, the apple cider slushies, picnic lunches, and just having a wonderful time as a family.

I was a little nervous that it would be hard on me this year since I was 38 weeks pregnant but we stayed near the top of the mountain and only went down about five rows so that I wouldn't have too far to go back up.  It worked out well and I didn't get exhausted.

We picked 20 pounds of Golden Delicious apples and I had great plans of making an apple pie with them this past weekend, however, Jude decided to make his arrival on Sunday and so the apple pie will have to wait a bit.  Maybe I will find the energy to make one this week but I'm not finding the chances of it too high.

We really had a great time this year.  The weather was beautiful and we just spent our time there relaxing and having fun.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.  Enjoy!

If you've never been apple picking...you should definitely go this year!!!
